CHOOCHOOSHOESHOOT was born in November, 2004 from the meeting of Philippe (ex-guitarist of Pig Iron, an early 90's noise combo), Thomas (drums), Gilda (bassist now adept at the baritone guitar) and Chrystelle (vocals).

After their first recording session in September, 2006 with Thomas Lecorre, several shows fell into place.

At the end of August 2007, sound engineer Miguel Constantino (Fordamage, Passe Montagne, Papier Tigre) recorded a raw, live, 9-track album that was later refined by notable engineer Bob Weston (Chicago Mastering Service).

2008, Chrystelle leaves the band, replaced by Caroline.

CHOOCHOOSHOESHOOT makes direct and unpretentious noise rock inspired by the high-tension climate of the Chicago scene (Jesus Lizard, Shellac, Dazzling Killmen, Big N).

Needling and strident guitars, dry and percussive drums, and a threatening female vocal unite to form an angular sensation that, through fits and starts, slides, and a sense of urgency, erupts with intensity. The lyrics, at once spiteful and passionate, follow the surge of this explosion on its whirlwind of agitated spirits against a distinctly urban background.
